I am 37 years old, born and raised in Sacramento, California. I recall when I was younger living in North Highlands, I would walk several miles by myself to my best friend's house. I could stay out all day as long as I returned home before the streetlights came on. I remember the ice cream truck coming by in the early evening and the long walks in the summertime with neighborhood friends to the community pool; just one dollar to swim. I drove my first stick-shift car at eleven years old down those streets and knocked on doors for school fundraising programs selling candy.
I grew up in a multicultural home, with my mother being black and my father being white. This wonderful blend has allowed me to experience several different perspectives growing up
My African American grandfather, who retired from the Air Force, raised two sons who would serve in the military and two daughters. He also largely raised my two siblings and I. He instilled in us ethics, morals and manners that I carry with me today. He loved the military, loved our country and while my parents worked and attended college, he cared for us. At a time when black fathers were absent from the household, my grandfather loved the idea of having dinner with family and friends. He also loved having movie nights and would invite the entire block over.
It's that same love for family, love for American traditions and love for our country that brings me to this moment. I want to keep my grandfather's memory and his cherished values alive; I want my children to have these same American freedoms and experiences as I did.
I will fight for the America I knew growing up; I will fight for us. You can count on me. This June, you can BET ON BLACK.
There has never been a more critical time in our nation's history to vote with our conscience as Americans than right now. I look at local elected leaders and see no one willing to fight for what is right, I see no one standing to protect our children. I do see career politicians who advocate on behalf of their corporate donors and their interests. I do see career politicians who are embolden by their tyrannical behavior, ushering in a radical anti-American agenda and socialist policies that hurt middle and low-income Americans the most. Thousands of unvetted refugees and illegal immigrants have been released into the Sacramento region by state and federal agencies. Real national security threats here in our own backyard go largely unnoticed, unregulated and encouraged by sanctuary city bureaucrats. Our borders continue to be non-existent and open to human traffickers, drug cartels and illegal entry from people all over the world. The streets of our city and our state are lined with homeless encampments, facilitated by politicians who keep throwing your money at the issue with no viable solutions to the growing problem. Your tax dollars are providing drug addicts with the tools to continue using by a government that incentivizes them living on the streets. Our youth are dying at an unprecedented rate due to drugs, suicide, and violence. Inflation and high gas prices for everyday Americans is an unnecessary and deliberate burden that has us all making sacrifices just to survive each week. How did our society decay to this level? We allowed socialist politicians and the media to turn Americans against Americans with divisive rhetoric and lies. We allowed the Covid-19 crisis to be an excuse for unamerican policies and unbridled taxation. We allowed politicians to institute unconstitutional regulations and tolerated conservative politicians who did nothing to stop them.
As your representative I will support school choice, parental rights, farmers/agriculture, less government intervention into our daily lives and help to end over regulation of industries that stunt production and profit. I will support tax reform for industry and individuals. I will stand for health freedom and NEVER for government forced intervention, NEVER for a tracking or tracing system of Americans. I will support our nations' small businesses, free market/ free trade, legal immigration, border security and the rule of law. As your representative I will support an America first agenda, American industry, American job creation, American energy independence, American made products and pharmaceuticals made for and by Americans. Above all else I will protect all precious freedoms granted to us by God.
If you share my values and my commitment to the great city of Sacramento and to this great nation, please donate, volunteer, support and share our common goal of restoring the safety and prosperity of all Americans. Secure our voice in the House of Representatives this year!
